Bishop’s Corner

At a very young age, Bishop Trevino felt the calling to follow in his father’s footsteps as a preacher. His early ministry began as Youth President for his local church, and at age 16 he was already serving as Sunday School Superintendent. Pastor Trevino started preaching at youth functions and gatherings and was subsequently elevated to the District Youth Board as Secretary. He later served as District Youth President and as Director of the annual District Youth Camps. At the age of 19, Pastor Trevino became an ordained minister.

In 1997, Pastor Trevino and 1st Lady Trevino accepted the call of God to pastor and took over the pastorship from his father Pastor Alvino Trevino. Together, they went on to pastor Apostolic Impact Ministries for 6 years. At the age of 28, he became District Elder for Sector 2 overseeing 7 churches. Subsequent ministries led Pastor Trevino to form The Bread House Spanish/Bilingual Ministry in 2004. The current location of the church was purchased in June of 2013, and following renovations of the buildings on site, the first service of what is now known as The Bread House South was held at this location in September followed by a formal church dedication in December of that same year.

What started back in 2004 as a Spanish/bilingual ministry has now grown into a multicultural church heavily involved in community outreach through ministries such as BHS Weekly Lunch Kitchen, BHS Food Pantry, BHS Lunch in the Park, BHS care packets and coat drives, BHS Weekly Empowerment Support Group for those with or who have overcome addictions, also our biggest community outreach The Greater Lansing Gobble Wobble Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway which is one of the largest Thanksgiving basket giveaways in the Greater Lansing Area. Bishop Trevino has lived by this principle, “If we love the people nobody loves, God will give us the people everybody wants!”

Because of The Bread House South congregation’s efforts in outreach Pastor Trevino has also had the honor of being on The Word Network for two spring revivals, also the Lexi Show and with Bishop George Bloomer as well ministering to millions of people worldwide.

We thank God for our pastor and 1st Lady and thank our Church’s dedicated followers and supporters who work so hard within our ministry. Together, in faith, our Bread House South congregation shares a true love for God and God’s people.
